Molten metal and slag are common metallurgical melts in industrial scale. All the physical and chemical reactions are closely related to the physical and chemical properties of molten metal and slag during the process of smelting and casting, which may significantly influence the thermal conductivity, mass transfer and reaction rate of melts during metallurgical process. The indexes of viscosity, surface tension, density, electrical conductivity of melts during smelting and casting can be predicted by specific equipment.

Application

The viscosity of melt can be measured during a cooling process or at a constant temperature state while the rotation speed of rotor is also adjustable, which ensures the accuracy and reliability of test results. The data during test is automatically recorded and processed by a computer while print of recorded data and curves is also supported. It can be applied for the determination of comprehensive physical property of blast furnace slag, mold flux, steelmaking slag, etc.
